Lantern Festival, Dong Xing, Flickr

Yesterday was Lantern Festival, the 15th day of the new year, and the last day of celebrations. I went to Pingshi with some friends. There's a huge celebration there where people release lots of flying paper "sky lanterns." We did a couple. You write your wishes on them, then light them up and let them fly. Kind of sweet. Definitely cool to see the sky full of glowing lanterns. Photos of that will come soon.

Tomorrow is my first day at Dong Xing, a smaller school where I'll be teaching two days a week in March, and every day for April.
I leave Friday night for my brother's wedding in Las Vegas. I'll be back here in time to teach the following Friday.
